Senior Regulatory Analyst – E-Invoicing, 6-month contract, £475 per day, based in London (hybrid).

Requires 10–15 years in regulatory business analysis, e-invoicing expertise, and strong stakeholder engagement skills. Location: London Area, United Kingdom. Inside IR35.

Responsibilities
  • Lead interpretation and analysis of e-invoicing and digital tax regulations, including HMRC VAT requirements and Making Tax Digital (MTD).
  • Conduct regulatory impact assessments, gap analysis, and solution definition for compliance initiatives.
  • Translate regulatory obligations into business, functional, non-functional, and data requirements.
  • Ensure end-to-end requirement traceability from regulatory mandate through to system implementation and controls.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Compliance, Legal, and Technology teams.
  • Drive process re-engineering across invoicing, billing, VAT determination, and reporting.
  • Define data validation rules, audit controls, exception handling, and compliance reporting.
  • Support selection and implementation of e-invoicing platforms, RegTech solutions, and ERP integrations.
  • Oversee UAT, regulatory validation, and production readiness activities.
  • Act as a key point of contact for audits, internal reviews, and regulatory engagements.
  • Provide governance and mentoring support to junior business analysts.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • 10–15 years’ experience in Business Analysis within regulatory, tax, or finance transformation programmes.
  • Strong hands-on experience with e-invoicing, digital VAT, or tax compliance initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of invoicing, billing, VAT lifecycle, and financial reporting processes.
  • Proven ability to translate regulatory mandates into scalable system and data solutions.
  • Strong documentation and governance capability (BRDs, FRDs, regulatory mappings, data lineage).
  • Experience leading complex regulatory change in multi-stakeholder environments.
Desirable
  • Exposure to global e-invoicing frameworks (EU, PEPPOL, LATAM CTC models, Middle East).
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics and e-invoicing or tax engines.
  • Knowledge of regulatory controls, audit frameworks, and compliance reporting.
  • Experience delivering within Agile or hybrid regulatory programmes.
