This role is a Manager – Pricing for a 12-month fixed‐term contract, offering a competitive pay rate. Key skills include advanced analytics, project management, and experience in the payments industry. Hybrid work location; employment eligibility in the UK required.
The Pricing Manager is responsible for delivering pricing solutions in EMEA aimed at driving the organization's goals for profitable charge volume growth and merchant expansion. The ability to understand and synthesize complex external and internal factors and to formulate strategic recommendations for senior leadership is key to the success of these initiatives. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Regional Pricing and will have considerable exposure to senior leaders in GMNS and across the Blue Box.
Minimum Qualifications- Lead analytical workstreams to uncover data‐driven insights that inform optimal Merchant pricing strategies.
- Work with internal stakeholders, both within Pricing and throughout the GMNS organization, to find Merchant pricing solutions that support enterprise goals.
- Challenge existing strategies and pricing frameworks with provocative, evidence‐based proposals.
- Conceptual thinking skills and ability to identify and implement technical solutions to achieve process automation and improve the final outcomes of the projects.
- Formulate strategic recommendations based on key findings, communicating takeaways to senior leadership through written and verbal updates.
- Develop quantitative analysis and robust financial models to evaluate pricing options, assess financial impact and value delivered.
- Leverage internal and external data from merchant‐specific insights, latest competitive intelligence, industry research and regulatory developments to inform pricing strategies and maintain pricing integrity.
- Experience in and/or significant exposure to the payments industry with a solid understanding of business model drivers.
- Strong aptitude for analytics; demonstrated ability to develop sophisticated financial models and draw value‐added insights from large amounts of data.
- Strong relationship management and collaboration skills with the ability to influence others in situations where there may be different goals.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and oral, with experience leading discussions with Senior Leaders where decisions need to be made based on the facts presented.
- Proven strategic thought leadership and comfort working with unstructured problems.
- Results driven with the ability to work under pressure, navigate through ambiguity, draw linkages, and balance multiple priorities.
- Creative problem solver who challenges the status quo and embraces new thinking.
- Strong project management skills with full ownership from analysis through to implementation.
- Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint to an advanced level, SAS / SQL / coding skills desirable.
