This role is for a Capital Markets Business Analyst on a 12-month fixed‑term contract in London (hybrid).
Location: London (Hybrid – 2/3 days per week in office)
Contract: Fixed term, 12 months
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with front‑office, middle‑office and back‑office stakeholders to understand business objectives and operational pain points.
- Conduct detailed requirement elicitation through interviews, workshops and document analysis.
- Translate business needs into clear and actionable functional specifications, BRDs, FRDs and user stories.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise across asset classes: Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives (OTC & Exchange‑Traded), Structured Products, Repos, and Securitized Instruments.
- Understand the trade lifecycle from order initiation to settlement and reconciliation.
Qualifications:
- Strong business‑analysis experience within banking domain.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related field.
- Extensive experience as a Business Analyst in capital‑markets projects.
- Knowledge of Repo trading and/or fixed assets.
- Strong understanding of financial instruments, trading platforms and post‑trade operations.
- Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Professional certifications: CFA (Level I or above), FRM, CBAP or equivalent.
- Experience with OMS/EMS platforms (e.g. Fidessa, Charles River, Calypso, Murex).
- Familiarity with FIX protocol, SWIFT messaging and market connectivity.
- Exposure to data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau) and SQL.
- Understanding of cloud‑based trading infrastructure and API integrations.
