Role Overview
We are seeking a high-calibre Hands‑On Technical Architect to bridge the gap between high-level business strategy and low-level implementation. You will be responsible for defining the technical vision and ensuring its successful execution by working alongside development teams. You aren’t just drawing diagrams; you are building the "architectural runway" and proving concepts through production-ready code.
Key Responsibilities
- Architectural Design: Design scalable, secure, and resilient system architectures (Microservices, Event-Driven, Cloud‑Native).
- Prototyping & POCs: Develop Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate new technologies, frameworks, or complex integration patterns before the team adopts them.
- Coding & Implementation: Spend significant time "at the keyboard," implementing core framework components, shared libraries, or solving the most difficult technical tickets.
- Technical Governance: Establish and enforce coding standards, CI/CD patterns, and security protocols across multiple teams.
- Mentorship: Conduct deep‑dive code reviews and mentor senior developers to elevate the collective technical bar.
- Stakeholder Bridge: Translate complex technical trade‑offs (e.g., "Latency vs. Consistency") into business terms for Product Owners and Executives.
- Modernization: Identify and manage technical debt, creating roadmaps for legacy decommissioning or platform migrations.
Required Technical Skills (2025 Profile)
- Development: Mastery of at least two core languages (Python, or Node/TypeScript).
- Cloud: Deep experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including serverless (Lambda/Functions) and managed services.
- Platform: Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s), Docker, and Service Mesh (Istio/Linkerd).
- Infrastructure: Infrastructure as Code (IaC) via Terraform.
- Data: Architecture of SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) and caching (Redis).
- Emerging Tech: Experience integrating LLMs/Generative AI into application workflows and observability (OpenTelemetry).
- Distributed Systems: Deep understanding of CAP Theorem, Fallacies of Distributed Computing, and Consensus Algorithms (Raft/Paxos).
- Scalability Patterns: Expertise in Sharding, CQRS, Event Sourcing, and Global Database Distribution.
- Security Architecture: Implementation of Zero Trust models, OAuth2/OIDC flows, and Secret Management at scale.
Soft Skills & Qualifications
- Systems Thinking: Ability to see how a change in one microservice impacts the entire ecosystem.
- Pragmatism: The ability to choose "good enough" over "perfect" to meet business deadlines.
- Communication: Proficiency in visual storytelling (LucidChart, Mermaid.js, or Miro) to explain architecture.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science with 10+ years of equivalent deep‑tier engineering experience.
Work on cutting‑edge technologies and impactful projects. Opportunities for career growth and development. Collaborative and inclusive work environment. Competitive salary and benefits package.
