The Vice President Sales has overall responsibility for establishing and coordinating all sales strategies, plans, programs, and functions. Driving revenue growth while developing the sales team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
  • Develop and recommend product/solution positioning strategy to produce the highest possible long‑term market share.
  • Achieve satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends.
  • Monitor and evaluate industry overall and competitor products and adjust sales and marketing activities to meet the changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
  • Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly.
  • Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs.
  • Direct market channel development activity and coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
  • Represent company at trade association meetings to promote product.
  • Meet with key clients; assist sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Develop and maintain strong, positive working relationships between Sales & Marketing, Technical Solutions, Inside Sales‑Services Support and Operations groups.
  • Analyze and control expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Prepare periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Review and analyze sales performances against programs, quotes, and plans to determine effectiveness.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct staff including recruitment, selections and development to achieve Company goals and objectives.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution.
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and changing management.
  • Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations.
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid office work environment with occasional travel for trade shows, events and meetings.

Physical Requirements

  • Sedentary Work: The ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Communication: Effective communication in person, over the phone, and via electronic means.
  • Mobility/Travel: Ability to travel, sometimes frequently, by car or plane for client meetings or conferences.
  • Lifting: Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds, such as promotional materials or equipment.
