IT Project Manager - Networking / InfrastructurePermanentLocation: Home BasedSalary: £35,000 - £45,000 (+ benefits)Skills: Project Management, IT Infrastructure, Networking, Firewalls, Stakeholder Management, Customer Delivery, Risk & Issue Management, Project Planning, Managed Services, Technical CoordinationWe are looking for an organised and commercially aware IT Project Manager to join a growing technology consultancy delivering multiple networking and infrastructure projects for enterprise customers.
This is a varied delivery role managing a number of concurrent customer workstreams, ensuring projects move from initial order through to successful delivery.
You will work closely with customers, technical consultants and internal stakeholders to keep projects progressing, manage priorities and ensure agreed actions, timelines and deliverables remain on track.
The role would suit someone with experience coordinating IT infrastructure, networking, managed services or technology projects. You do not need to be deeply technical, but you should be comfortable working with technical teams and have a basic understanding of areas such as networks, firewalls, cloud and infrastructure.
This is a home based role with travel to customer sites when required (approximately once or twice a month).Key ResponsibilitiesManage multiple customer projects and workstreams simultaneouslyTake ownership of projects from initial purchase order through to deliveryBuild and maintain project plans, actions, milestones and dependenciesLiaise directly with customers to maintain momentum and resolve blockersCoordinate technical resources and ensure activity is scheduled effectivelyMonitor project progress, risks, issues and outstanding actionsProvide regular updates to customers and internal stakeholdersManage changing priorities across a portfolio of live projectsEnsure project documentation and project information is kept up to dateSupport delivery teams by making sure requirements, timelines and responsibilities are clearly understoodHelp improve project delivery processes as the business continues to growSkills & ExperienceWe are looking for someone with: Previous experience in an IT Project Manager, Project Coordinator or Technical Project Manager roleExperience delivering or coordinating multiple projects at the same timeStrong customer and stakeholder management skillsExcellent organisation and communication skillsAbility to take ownership and proactively drive projects forwardExperience working with technical or engineering teamsGood understanding of general IT infrastructureExperience across any of the following would be particularly useful: NetworkingFirewalls / network securityLAN / WANCloud infrastructureManaged IT servicesNetwork migrationsInfrastructure upgradesCyber securityData centre or connectivity projectsYou do not need to be a network engineer, but you should be technically comfortable enough to understand customer requirements and communicate effectively with technical specialists.
