We're looking to recruit a Head of Client Delivery for a leading technology consultancy. This is a senior leadership role for someone who has managed complex technology delivery across multiple customers, teams and workstreams. The organisation is looking for someone who can bring structure, consistency and commercial focus to a busy delivery environment, while helping teams deliver great outcomes for customers.
You'll lead a team of delivery professionals, support senior customer relationships, improve visibility around delivery performance, and help create clearer, more consistent ways of working across the business.
The role is London-focused, with hybrid working expected around 2-3 days per week in the office.
The Role
As Head of Client Delivery, you will oversee delivery performance across a broad range of technology-led customer engagements. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across delivery, commercial, operations and technology teams to ensure customer commitments are well managed, risks are visible, and delivery teams have the structure and support they need to succeed.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of delivery managers and related delivery professionals
- Overseeing delivery across multiple customer accounts, projects and service commitments
- Improving consistency around planning, reporting, governance and customer communication
- Acting as a senior escalation point for complex delivery issues
- Supporting teams with risks, blockers, prioritisation and customer challenges
- Improving visibility of delivery performance for senior leadership
- Working closely with commercial and account teams to support customer outcomes
- Helping to create clearer, more repeatable ways of working across delivery teams
- Supporting better forecasting, planning and resource visibility
- Driving practical improvements that help the business deliver more effectively at scale
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced delivery leader who has operated in a customer-facing technology environment and is comfortable managing delivery across multiple customers, contracts or programmes. You'll need experience in most of the following:
- Senior delivery leadership within a technology, software, consultancy, systems integration, managed services or professional services environment
- Managing delivery across multiple customer accounts, projects, programmes or services
- Leading and developing delivery teams
- Handling senior customer relationships and escalations
- Improving delivery processes, reporting and ways of working
- Managing risk, dependencies, prioritisation and delivery performance
- Working closely with commercial, operational and technical stakeholders
- Balancing customer expectations with business priorities
- Strong commercial awareness, including forecasting, revenue delivery, change control and contractual commitments
- Experience across different delivery approaches, such as agile, hybrid or waterfall
- Experience in complex enterprise, regulated, outsourced technology, public sector, defence, financial services, utilities, healthcare or infrastructure environments could all be relevant.
