Finance Business Partner - Technology
3 Month Contract
Rate: Β£600 - Β£700 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: London (onsite 2/3 days a week)
We're looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a large, complex organisation and partner with senior leaders across its Technology and Product functions.
This is a commercially focused finance role providing financial insight, challenge and decision support across technology investment, transformation, planning and performance.
You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across Technology, Product, FP&A and Finance, helping improve financial visibility, strengthen forecasting and ensure investment decisions are supported by robust financial analysis.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with senior Technology and Product leaders, providing commercial financial insight and challenge
- Support budgeting, forecasting and rolling planning activity
- Analyse technology spend, including development, cloud, infrastructure and supplier costs
- Support investment prioritisation, resource planning and cost-benefit analysis
- Develop and review business cases, financial models and scenario analysis
- Provide financial support for transformation programmes and strategic initiatives
- Track costs, benefits, risks and financial performance
- Own and improve monthly financial and management reporting
- Clearly communicate financial performance, risks, opportunities and key cost drivers
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and return on technology investment
- Provide constructive challenge around spend and investment decisions
- Translate complex financial and operational information into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders
Skills and experience
- Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Strong Finance Business Partnering/Commercial Finance experience
- Experience working within a large, complex organisation, ideally 5,000+ employees
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting experience
- Excellent financial modelling and Excel skills
- Proven experience partnering and influencing senior non-finance stakeholders
- Experience supporting Technology, SaaS, Software, Digital or Product functions would be highly advantageous
- Experience supporting transformation, investment appraisal, cost initiatives or business cases
- Strong commercial judgement and analytical capability
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, Matrix environment with multiple senior stakeholders
