The Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for generating and qualifying leads in the early stages of the sales process. You will focus on identifying and engaging potential customers, primarily within the UK Public Sector (Local Government, NHS, NDPB, Blue Light, NFP, HE, and FE), but also explore opportunities outside these sectors.
The BDE will use multiple outreach channels (email, digital, phone, LinkedIn, and events) to build relationships, understand customer needs, and assess alignment with the company's offerings. Success depends on building rapport and driving opportunities for the sales team.
- Identifying potential clients, developing targeted outreach strategies and building a database of leads using CRM tools.
- Monitoring industry trends, identifying new opportunities and gathering intelligence on customer pain points.
Ideally at least 1 year’s experience in a business development role but open to candidates looking to start a career in Sales.
Confidence in cold outreach calls, including emails and LinkedIn messaging.
Strong knowledge of the sales/discovery/qualification process.
