We are supporting a regional public sector organisation seeking an experienced Information Security & Assurance Officer to support the continued development of information security, governance and assurance practices. Operating within a complex and highly regulated environment, this role will play an important part in helping ensure appropriate information security controls, policies and risk management arrangements are in place across the organisation.

This is a varied, stakeholder-facing opportunity, well suited to someone with experience across information security governance, assurance, policy and compliance who enjoys working across both operational and corporate environments.

Key responsibilities are likely to include:

  • Supporting information security governance and assurance activities
  • Security risk identification, assessment and mitigation
  • Policy development, review and compliance monitoring
  • Supporting audit and assurance processes
  • Stakeholder engagement across technical and non-technical teams
  • Promoting strong information handling and security awareness practices

  • Information Security, Information Assurance or Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) environments
