This role offers the opportunity to join a growing team and build practical experience across a wide range of Information Assurance activity, with early exposure to stakeholders and real-world delivery.

The role involves supporting the accreditation and ongoing assurance of ICT systems, working across both project and business-as-usual activity. It combines structured risk and compliance work with stakeholder engagement, giving you the opportunity to develop both technical understanding and professional confidence within a supportive team. You will be encouraged to take ownership of your work, contribute ideas, and engage actively across the organisation.

What you will be doing:

  • Supporting system accreditation and maintaining compliance with IA standards
  • Conducting risk assessments for changes to existing services
  • Producing clear, structured documentation to support assurance activity
  • Mapping and documenting processes (e.g. using Visio)
  • Engaging with stakeholders across ICT and the wider organisation
  • Representing the team in forums such as change approval boards (following onboarding)
  • Contributing to guidance, awareness and user support
  • Supporting occasional physical security activity, including site visits (training provided)

What they are looking for:

This role is well suited to someone in their second or third role within IT risk, audit, assurance or a related discipline. You should be comfortable asking questions, contributing in meetings, and working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders. The team places a high value on attitude and cultural fit. They are looking for someone who is positive, curious, and able to take a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.

This is a busy and evolving environment, with the team expanding to support increased demand. As a result, there is strong opportunity to gain exposure quickly and build experience across multiple areas of Information Assurance.
