We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our clients team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing financial support and mentorship to different departments within our organisation. You will work closely with team members up to Executive Level to develop and implement financial strategies that support our mission and drive business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Provision of information: providing prompt and accurate budgets
- Lead Financial Support to projects: Providing financial information to support business plans for projects, lead other finance teams for the provision of detailed technical support.
- Management support and advice: Providing support with financial information and decision-making and business planning.
- Planning: Coordinating the financial planning cycle for all designated departments or Directorates and support/influence the wider overall production of the strategic plan covering a 3-5-year timescale.
- Partner Relationships: Will act as the lead to handle the relationship with external stakeholders and senior internal Budget holders, influencing and owning the key finance deliverables, requiring collaboration.
Requirements:
- Recognised professional accountancy qualification appropriate to the role e.g. CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA, etc.
- Minimum of three years' management experience gained from working within a complex organisation providing expertise in a similar role
- Able to interpret sophisticated financial and statistical data, reason, evaluate, draw appropriate inferences to enable innovative problem solving and report and communicate with senior stakeholders with tact
- Effective leadership, interpersonal, influencing and organisational change skills
- The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Some expertise in at least one of the following fields: strategic planning, performance management, risk management
- Knowledge of governance and assurance frameworks
- Excellent communications, engagement and active listening to the needs of the business units, asking the right questions
- Strategic and commercial acumen - understanding the economics of the organisation, and the business benefits and commercial realities from both the organisation's and the customers perspective.
- You should have experience of working for the Public Sector or highly regulated industries
- You must have lived and worked in the UK for 5 years
- Happy to undergo Security Clearance
