We are looking to recruit an FP&A Systems Consultant for a specialist IT consultancy to lead my client's FP&A Practice. This is a strategic role where you will guide delivery, mentor talented consultants, shape best practice, and drive innovative solutions for a wide range of clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for an FP&A professional with either previous systems implementation experience or extensive hands-on FP&A systems experience in an end-user environment seeking a move into Consultancy. This is a UK-based remote role with travel to customer sites when required.

The Role

  • Lead and manage the FP&A consulting team, providing mentorship, guidance, and quality oversight.
  • Design and deliver innovative FP&A solutions aligned to business needs and client expectations.
  • Act as the technical authority on Unit4 FP&A CPM/BI, providing best practice processes, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Support sales and pre-sales activity, contributing to bids, proposals, and solution design.
  • Develop and maintain delivery methodologies, governance frameworks, and quality assurance processes.
  • Oversee complex installations, upgrades, and ETL processes, ensuring smooth delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Stay at the forefront of Unit4 FP&A product developments, driving innovation across the team.
  • Work closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure solutions meet both technical and business requirements.

About You

  • Strong technical expertise in Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle database administration (T-SQL or PL/SQL), and preferably JavaScript.
  • Experience with ETL tools (e.g., SSIS) and Microsoft server operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, IIS, DNS, DHCP, and Citrix.
  • Previous experience of managing teams, or a desire to move into management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Desirable:

  • Relevant certifications (Finance, Unit4 FP&A).
  • ERP or business applications experience.
  • Unit4 Record to Report accreditation.
