We are looking for a solution-oriented People Care Specialist to join the North Europe People Care team based in the UK. As an integral part of the People team, the People Care Specialist is responsible for building, facilitating, and supporting employee relations, compliance, engagement and communications in the workplace.

Role Description & Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for individual employees, managers and employee representatives regarding employee relations matters and workplace practices. Serve as mediator or support external mediation when necessary.
  • Provide support and guidance to employees on topics related to wellbeing, work-life balance, and personal challenges that may affect their experience at work, by contributing to create an environment that prioritises psychological safety, mutual respect and inclusivity.
  • Design and implement standardised procedures to support the fair and consistent management of exceptional or sensitive employee situations, ensuring alignment with legal and organisational standards.
  • Support the development, review and ongoing update of policies and procedures to ensure full compliance with employment legislation and HR best practices, help mitigate risks and guarantee alignment with industry standards.
  • Leveraging insights from Great Place to Work (GPTW) engagement surveys, contribute to design, implement and promote activities and programs that enhance overall employee engagement, communication and productive work relations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and enhance initiatives focused on physical, mental and emotional health. This includes refining benefits and wellbeing programs to ensure they meet the evolving needs of our employees, promoting work-life balance and holistic health.
  • Capitalize knowledge and practical experience to develop enablement programs that promote early conflict resolution, equipping both managers and employees with the tools, confidence and guidance needed to address challenges constructively and foster respectful, solution-focused interactions.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Law or a related field (CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualification in case the candidate is based in UK).
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), with the ability to build strong relationships, partner with stakeholders, apply strong problem-solving skills, and work effectively as a team player. Demonstrates integrity, a positive attitude, and embodies the principles of emotional and social intelligence (ESI).
  • Direct experience leading difficult conversations, managing conflicts, and mediating, with strong analytical skills to assess workplace situations, evaluate information, and draw accurate conclusions.
  • Thorough understanding of negotiation techniques, dispute resolution, empathy and patience; cares about people and is willing to listen.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to investigate complaints in compliance with 3DS protocols.
  • Fluent in English (knowledge of another language spoken in North Europe is a significant plus).
