ARAG has an exciting new vacancy for a Business Analyst working for the newly formed Strategic Change Team, who will play a key role in ensuring the business invests its time and money on the right solutions and for the right reasons. This is an exciting time to join ARAG UK. Having recently been through a significant merger, the business is now looking to the future and working to deliver against local and group strategic goals.

You will work alongside colleagues across the organisation to support business case development, prioritisation and high impact change delivery, while also playing an active role in developing the wider Business Analyst practice.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the Strategic Change Team and Business Leaders to provide clarity around organisational objectives;
  • Identify problems and opportunities aligned to these objectives; and develop a clear Business Case for proposed projects / change initiatives and revisit this throughout delivery to continued relevance.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of the organisational Change Roadmap(s).
  • Documenting current and future state business processes.
  • Preparing Business Requirements and Acceptance Criteria that consider people, process, organisation and data and technology impacts.
  • Liaising with Digital Services Business Analysts and Product Owners regarding detailed data and technology requirements to ensure continued alignment to the Business Case and the wider organisational Change Roadmap(s).

About You

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst who is able to understand and interpret business processes, with experience in eliciting holistic requirements that span people, process, organisation, data and technology.

Excellent communication skills are essential for this role, as you will be required to clearly and concisely communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders. You won’t be afraid to challenge where necessary and will be confident in building and managing collaborative relationships across the business.

You will be hands on, proactive and have experience of delivering multiple concurrent projects, with excellent time management skills. We will also be looking for you to demonstrate the following:

  • Proven track record of using a broad Business Analyst skillset across a range of projects and change initiatives.
  • Confident taking a leading role in developing compelling Business Cases (providing a clear articulation of the problem / opportunity and detailed solution options along with a cost / benefit analysis).
  • Strong facilitation skills and can run effective sessions both remotely and in-person.
  • Experience with experience with different project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall).
  • Keen to support development of a newly formed Strategic Change Team at a time of unprecedented change.
  • Can work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
