Our Employment department deals with all aspects of employment law, from advising an employee on pursuing an unfair dismissal claim or a claim for unpaid wages, to defending claims of whistleblowing and discrimination on behalf of respondents. As an Employment Paralegal, you’ll gain valuable experience by managing your own caseload and resolving disputes, on behalf of both Claimants and Respondents, delivering a high level of client service excellence. You’ll negotiate claims to a successful outcome, through the most efficient and economic means, and identify (and report on) any risks related to the claim and the company. You’ll also help to drive a culture of effective and efficient case handling, take personal ownership of customer problems until resolution, work to support the delivery of SLA’s, KPI’s financial & performance targets, and share knowledge and best practice with your wider team.
No two days are ever the same, and you can look forward to working within a highly skilled team who boast a wealth of experience, unrivalled support and opportunities to grow and develop, which are actively encouraged. Whilst this is a full-time, permanent, hybrid position we want to promote inclusivity and support our employees to achieve a work-life balance that suits them, so we’re happy to discuss flexible working options.
We’re keen to hear from candidates with experience working within a legal environment, at either a Paralegal or Associate level (specific Employment experience is preferred, but not essential). You’ll ideally have some previous experience running your own caseload, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, whilst demonstrating resilience and exceptional client care skills. You’ll also have a high level of understanding of procedural matters within the litigation area, including all aspects of protocols and civil procedure.
