These are exciting times at ARAG Law as we are going through a period of positive change and sustained growth across our friendly and high-performing Employment Law department.

Our Employment department deals with all aspects of employment law, from advising an employee on pursuing an unfair dismissal claim or a claim for unpaid wages, to defending claims of whistleblowing and discrimination on behalf of respondents. As well as acting for employees and employers during the litigation process, they also provide advisory HR services such as drafting contracts & policies or guiding and supporting businesses through the complexity of employment law requirements.

As an Employment Paralegal, you’ll gain valuable experience by managing your own caseload and resolving disputes, on behalf of both Claimants and Respondents, delivering a high level of client service excellence. You’ll negotiate claims to a successful outcome, through the most efficient and economic means, and identify (and report on) any risks related to the claim and the company. You’ll also help to drive a culture of effective and efficient case handling, take personal ownership of customer problems until resolution, work to support the delivery of SLA’s, KPI’s financial & performance targets, and share knowledge and best practice with your wider team.

No two days are ever the same, and you can look forward to working within a highly skilled team who boast a wealth of experience, unrivalled support and opportunities to grow and develop, which are actively encouraged. Whilst this is a full-time, permanent, hybrid position we want to promote inclusivity and support our employees to achieve a work-life balance that suits them, so we’re happy to discuss flexible working options.

We’re keen to hear from candidates with experience working within a legal environment, at either a Paralegal or Associate level (specific Employment experience is preferred, but not essential). You’ll ideally have some previous experience running your own caseload, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, whilst demonstrating resilience and exceptional client care skills. You’ll also have a high level of understanding of procedural matters within the litigation area, including all aspects of protocols and civil procedure.

Other key requirements include:

  • Articulate, confident with client care and the ability to embrace a changing environment.
  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn, and to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to act on your own initiative and knowing when to seek assistance.
  • Customer focussed in your approach and strives to provide a quality, efficient service to clients.
  • Able to prioritise and work under pressure, managing numerous commitments simultaneously.
  • Experience of working in an SRA regulated environment (desirable).

If you are keen to become part of our exciting future, then we would love to hear from you!

As a team we are passionate and enthusiastic about what we do. Our people are encouraged to think independently and to take ownership of their work, and we are looking for likeminded individuals who share our ambition to make our high-quality legal solutions accessible and affordable. Our staff are at the heart of everything we do, and we encourage our people to work flexibly and achieve a work-life balance that works for them.

We can offer you generous remuneration and an attractive benefits package that includes:

  • 26 days holiday with the option to buy up to a further 5 days
  • Company Pension Scheme with the option to increase contributions
  • Group Income Protection for all employees
  • Group Legal Protection for all employees

  • Inclusion in our Health Cash Plan
  • Access to our Employee Discounts Hub offering exclusive discounts across thousands of retail partners, including discounted gym memberships at over 3,000 gyms across the UK.
