These are exciting times at ARAG Law as we’ve been through a period of positive change and sustained growth across our friendly and high-performing Litigation and Dispute Management teams. As a result, we’re looking for someone to join us as an Associate in our Landlord & Tenant team, who sit within the wider Volume Litigation department.
As an Associate, you’ll gain valuable experience by managing your own caseload end-to-end and resolving disputes within the area of Landlord & Tenant claims, delivering a high level of client service excellence. You’ll be negotiating these claims to a successful outcome, through the most efficient and economic means, and identifying and reporting on any risks related to the claim and the company.
You’ll also help to drive a culture of effective and efficient case handling, take personal ownership of customer problems until resolution, work to deliver SLA’s, KPI’s financial & performance targets, and share knowledge and best practice with your wider team. There’s an established pipeline of Landlord & Tenant work available, and this is a great opportunity to raise your individual and business profile. You can also look forward to being part of a busy and fast-paced team who boast a wealth of legal experience, with unrivalled support and plenty of opportunity for you to grow and develop, which are actively encouraged.
This is a hybrid role – minimum 2 days per week in our Bristol office (5 minutes’ walk from Bristol Temple Meads station). The role is ideally full-time, but we can also consider part-time options (min. 4 days a week, or the equivalent hours).
We are keen to hear from you if you are a highly motivated legal professional with previous experience dealing with Landlord & Tenant Disputes and Claims and a genuine passion for going the extra mile to ensure excellent customer outcomes.
- Excellent working knowledge of Landlord & Tenant Law and procedures.
- Exceptional communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal.
- Experience of, or a strong desire to assist in business development.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver against deadlines, KPI’s and SLA’s.
- Proactive approach to managing your own caseload to a high standard.
- Clear and demonstrable understanding of the SRA Code of Conduct.
- Ability to work highly collaboratively, with exceptional client care skills.
- Negotiation skills, analytical and proactive approach to problem solving.
Whilst extremely rewarding, due to the nature of our customers’ concerns this role can occasionally be quite sensitive and challenging, and you should therefore be resilient and motivated to provide a high-quality performance, in a very busy, fast-paced environment.
As a team we are passionate and enthusiastic about what we do. Our people are encouraged to think independently and to take ownership of their work. Only a 5-minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads train station we have newly refurbished, modern city centre offices. Our staff are at the heart of everything we do, and we encourage our people to work flexibly and achieve a work-life balance that works for them.
You’ll work a hybrid model (after your initial training period is complete) and we can offer you generous remuneration and an attractive benefits package that includes:
- 26 days holiday, with the option to buy up to a further 5 days
- Company Pension Scheme with the option to increase contributions
- Group Income Protection and Group Legal Protection for all employees
- European Motor Assistance
- Home Emergency Assistance
- Inclusion in our Health Cash Plan
- Access to our Employee Discounts Hub offering exclusive discounts across thousands of retail partners, including discounted gym memberships at over 3,000 gyms across the UK
