Help bring an established sleep brand into UK retail.
We represent an established international sleep brand with a strong direct-to-consumer presence. As we expand our physical retail footprint in the UK, we're looking for an experienced industry professional who can help us connect with the right retail partners.
This is not a traditional sales role. We're looking for someone who already understands the UK retail landscape and has established relationships with furniture retailers, mattress retailers, buying groups, distributors, or other relevant retail channels. Rather than spending months building prospect lists or making cold calls, you'll help accelerate our market entry by introducing us to the right decision-makers and advising us on the most effective route into the UK retail market.
What You'll Do
- Introduce us to suitable furniture, mattress, home furnishing and lifestyle retailers across the UK.
- Leverage your existing industry relationships to secure meetings with key decision-makers.
- Advise on suitable retail partners, distributors and buying groups.
- Present our retail partnership opportunities to prospective partners.
- Support commercial discussions and negotiations where appropriate.
- Share market insights, retailer expectations and competitive intelligence.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen our physical retail presence across the UK.
- Facilitate introductions and help progress partnership discussions towards commercial agreements where appropriate.
Who We're Looking For
We're interested in speaking with individuals who already have experience and credibility within the UK retail industry. Ideally, you'll have:
- Existing relationships with furniture, mattress or home furnishing retailers.
- Experience working with retail buyers, buying groups, distributors or regional retail chains.
- Strong commercial judgement and negotiation skills.
- A well-established professional network within the UK retail sector.
- The ability to work independently while representing our brand professionally.
Experience That Would Be Valuable
We'd particularly like to hear from individuals with experience as a:
- Retail Sales Agent
- Commercial Broker
- Channel Development Consultant
- Business Development Consultant
- Distributor Representative
- Retail Buying Manager
- Category Manager
- Furniture or Bedding Industry Executive
Experience introducing consumer brands into UK retail stores would be highly regarded.
Success in This Role
Success isn't measured by the number of emails sent or sales calls made. Instead, success will be measured by:
- High-quality introductions
- Meetings secured with relevant decision-makers
- Retail partnership opportunities created
- Commercial agreements established
- Growth of our physical retail network
Why Join Us?
You'll work directly with a growing international consumer brand that's looking to build long-term retail partnerships in the UK. We're looking for someone who enjoys opening doors, creating commercial opportunities and helping brands expand into new markets. If you're well connected within UK retail and believe you can accelerate our market entry, we'd love to speak with you.
Commercial Terms
This is a flexible independent consultancy engagement. A retainer and performance-based commission structure will be discussed with suitable candidates based on experience, network and scope of engagement.
