The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Reporting to the Head of People Shared Services, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing ARAG UK's ESG strategies to positively impact the environment and society. This role requires aligning ESG initiatives with our strategic goals and supporting our business partners.

In this newly created role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute ESG & Sustainability initiatives, ensuring stakeholder understanding. You will also establish a robust system for collecting, analyzing, and reporting ESG data to support bids and tenders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the UK ESG policy.
  • Lead the ESG framework in compliance with legislation, best practices, and corporate direction.
  • Identify areas for ESG practice improvements.
  • Engage with external stakeholders through networking events to shape the UK ESG agenda.
  • Enhance carbon monitoring through data analysis and reporting, working towards net zero transition.
  • Create ESG training and awareness programs, including carbon literacy, in collaboration with Learning & Development.
  • Support procurement to embed ESG considerations across the supply chain.
  • Monitor and support suppliers to minimize environmental impacts.
  • Promote discussions on Modern Slavery, Human Trafficking, and Supplier Diversity.
  • Lead relevant forums and guide business leaders on ESG and Sustainability to ensure compliance and understanding.

Role Details:

This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in our Bristol City Centre office. The position can be full-time or part-time with flexible hours, subject to discussion.

Candidate Profile:

  • Extensive experience in ESG/Sustainability roles within a corporate environment, preferably in professional or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 14001, TCFD, SDR, EU CSRD, and experience in organizational culture change.
  • Confidence and motivation to shape and lead the UK ESG agenda, with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Deep understanding of ESG frameworks related to climate risk and Net Zero transition.
  • Facilitation, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and policy-writing abilities.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
