We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Legal Trainer to join our friendly and supportive Legal Advice teams in Bristol and Bedwas This role is ideally suited to someone with strong Employment Law knowledge who is enthusiastic about developing others and sharing their expertise.
As a Technical Legal Trainer, you will play a key role in enhancing the technical capability of our legal advisers through the delivery of training, coaching and mentoring.
Alongside supporting the development of colleagues, you will also provide high-quality legal advice to commercial and personal customers, with a particular focus on Employment Law matters, while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
In addition, your responsibilities will include
- Taking responsibility for handling legal queries from customers on a range of legal areas by establishing the facts of the customer’s legal issues, providing advice on the applicable law and setting out the legal and/or practical options available to the customer.
- Identify development opportunities through call monitoring, providing insightful analysis, coaching and constructive feedback to support continuous improvement of our Legal Advisors
- Deliver engaging technical legal training for new and existing advisers across a range of legal disciplines.
- Understanding and complying with the Solicitors Regulation Authority regulatory regime and other regulatory and statutory obligations, ensuring any compliance breaches such as confidentiality/data breaches are reported in accordance with company procedures.
We are keen to hear from candidates with a legal background, whether you're a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, law graduate, or currently studying towards a relevant legal qualification.
We're looking for someone with strong Employment Law knowledge who is passionate about sharing their expertise , supporting colleagues and helping others develop their legal skills.
This role is ideally suited to someone with practical and/or academic experience in Employment Law and a sound understanding of a wide range of workplace issues.
You'll be confident interpreting legislation, delivering clear and pragmatic advice, and using your technical expertise to coach, mentor and develop legal advisers across the team.
While Employment Law will be your key area of expertise, you'll also be willing to broaden and maintain your knowledge across other areas of law relevant to our customers, including Property, Consumer, Family, Wills and Probate, Landlord and Tenant, and Commercial Law.
In addition, we are looking for candidates that can demonstrate
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of Employment Law, with the ability to confidently advise customers and support the development of colleagues through coaching and training.
- Ability to cope within a demanding environment with a high level of motivation andwork well as part of a multi-disciplined team.
- Ability to communicate effectively with commercial and personal customers, with good negotiation skills.
- Analytical, methodical and pro‑active approach to problem solving.
- Previous experience delivering training, mentoring, coaching or sharing technical legal knowledge would be advantageous .
