You will be responsible for providing a professional Legal Advice service to both our commercial and personal customers. You’ll manage more complex customers’ queries on a range of legal areas by establishing the facts of the customers’ legal issues, providing advice on the applicable law and setting out the legal and / or practical options available to the customer, whilst reviewing sources of funding and alternative resolution solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Managing the customer experience in an efficient and professional way, ensuring that customer engagement is maintained, expectations are managed, and service levels are met / exceeded.
- Ensuring customers are aware of any funding opportunities / benefits that may be available to them through their Legal Expenses Insurance product(s) / private funding.
- Communicating to customers in a clear, concise and honest manner whilst ensuring that you remain sensitive and empathic to our customers’ and business partners’ needs.

This is a hybrid role (minimum 2 days a week in the office) and can be based at our Bristol City Centre office (5-minutes’ walk from Temple Meads station) OR our Bedwas office in South Wales. We are happy to discuss part-time options for this position.
You will need to demonstrate significant prior experience as a Legal Advisor, Associate or Paralegal, or gained experience within a Legal environment. A recognised legal qualification such as Legal Executive, LPC, BVC, LLB, LLM or equivalent is expected. This role is particularly suited to candidates who have specialised in one area of law and are now seeking to transition into a broader advisory position. We welcome applications from those looking to move sectors and expand their knowledge across Employment, Property, Contract, and Landlord & Tenant law, with evidence of adaptability and a commitment to professional development in new legal settings. Alongside genuine passion for going the extra mile to ensure excellent customer outcomes, you will also demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to proactively identify both customers’ issues and potential solutions, whilst taking ownership of and following the correct processes, you will enjoy presenting legal advice in a precise, understandable and empathetic manner.

- Sound practical knowledge Employment Law and / or Landlord & Tenant Law
- Ability to work well as part of a collaborative team and highly customer‑focused in your approach
- Ability to deliver high quality performance against targets and SLAs
- Excellent understanding of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) requirements
- Due to the sensitive nature of this telephone‑based role, it is essential that you can demonstrate elevated levels of empathy and the ability to connect and build rapport with a wide range of colleagues, stakeholders and customers
