The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

During each visit the engineer will assess the following aspects on site:

  • H&S practices and site safety conditions with an emphasis on promoting a strong health and safety culture (not a formal audit).
  • Installation status compared to the contractor’s programme.
  • Installation quality including effectiveness of the contractor’s supervision of its subcontractors; compliance with the design, ERs and good practice. Client will share and brief on ERs and design documents with the engineer, however the engineer is not expected to perform a full review of these documents. Client project managers will communicate key design updates with the engineer ahead of site visits and require written updates following site visits.
  • Adherence to quality control procedures.
  • Security arrangements and overall site condition (tidiness, noise/dust, waste management, access roads, etc.).

Documentation and information sharing:

  • Up-to-date construction programme from the EPC contractor.
  • Progress updates from the EPC contractor site manager during each visit.
  • The most recent monthly construction reports from the EPC Contractor to be shared with client ahead of site visits.
  • Site induction on first visit to the project, and a briefing of ongoing works on each subsequent visit from the EPC Contractor/Developer.

Engineer contributions:

  • The engineer is expected to contribute to the Project risk register with issues identified on site during each site visit.
  • Notes on outcomes from construction monitoring site visits in a quality report template, as requested by the developer. These contributions are intended to support other work packages in the client’s wider engagement with the customer and are therefore an important part of the scope.

Experience profile minimum requirements:

  • At least 5 years in renewable projects.
  • At least 3 years in solar or BESS projects (please include details in CV).
  • Background in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience in supervising quality control of EPC execution of work.
