Our client, a leader in offshore wind construction, is seeking a skilled Marine & Helicopter Coordinator to support safe and efficient operations during the construction of an Offshore Wind Farm (OWF). You will be a critical part of the Offshore Operations & Logistics department, responsible for ensuring smooth vessel and helicopter coordination, emergency response, and operational tracking.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate emergency response as first-line responder, liaising with project staff and external agencies
- Control vessel/helicopter traffic per established procedures
- Track personnel, vessels, and communications across the OWF
- Manage WTG access restrictions and optimise vessel usage
- Operate the offshore management system - certification and asset tracking
- Provide and interpret weather/observation data for operational recommendations
- Manage daily coordination with weather data providers
- Maintain stakeholder communication and statutory reporting (pollution, lighting, buoys, infringements)
- Monitor marine operations and ensure safe airspace coordination
- Support surveillance, vessel avoidance, documentation, HSE, and marine inspection tasks
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Marine Coordination
- Competent with offshore supplier databases and radio comms
- Familiar with maritime certification and offshore emergency response
- Skilled in personnel tracking, marine/air traffic control, and offshore weather monitoring
- Strong team player, proactive under pressure, excellent communication skills
- Computer literate, able to manage documentation and reporting processes
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts - 1 week on / 1 week off
- Shift schedule includes day/night/weekend shifts - to be confirmed at interview
