Create and validate EMT and RMS models for relevant assets (e.g., WTG, PPC, STATCOM, as applicable).

Plan and execute design and Grid Code compliance studies, small disturbances and fault scenarios.

Draft clear, audit-ready technical documentation for internal review and external compliance; contribute to grid-connection workstreams.

Interface with OEMs on model provisioning, validation, and parameterization.

Summarize findings, recommend mitigations, and ensure quality in line with Client standards across multiple projects.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering (BEng/MSc/PhD) or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years' hands-on experience with PSCAD for EMT studies, including applicable add-ons and analysis modules, plus required experience with DIgSILENT PowerFactory covering steady-state and RMS analyses.
  • Experience working with vendor models and parameterization for compliance.
  • Scripting/automation skills for workflows and post-processing.
  • Experience coordinating with OEMs for model delivery, validation, and updates.
  • Strong data confidentiality practices.
  • Strong communication skills; able to produce clear reports and stakeholder materials.
  • Ability to work independently while following client established methodologies, documentation standards, and QA processes.

Nice to Have (Optional)

  • Experience with National Grid ESO EMT guidelines and evidence requirements.
  • Experience with grid-forming controls or advanced STATCOM functionalities.
