I’m currently supporting a major building automation programme in the UK and have an opportunity for an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer to join a live project team delivering complex commercial and pharmaceutical facilities. The role will focus on commissioning, testing and validation of Building Management Systems across multiple sites, working closely with project managers, engineers and end clients to ensure systems are delivered in line with design specifications and operational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Commission BMS systems across new-build and refurbishment projects
- Interpret control drawings, schematics and panel wiring diagrams
- Carry out point-to-point testing and functional testing
- Validate sequence of operations and system performance
- Complete commissioning documentation and test records
- Produce sign-off and handover documentation
- Support integration with third-party plant and equipment including HVAC systems, chillers and other building services infrastructure
- Work closely with project delivery and engineering teams throughout commissioning activities
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience commissioning BMS systems
- Strong knowledge of Niagara Framework
- Experience working with HVAC controls and building automation systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Experience working on live construction sites
- Strong understanding of commissioning processes and documentation
- Knowledge of health & safety procedures, permits and site compliance requirements
Desirable
- Previous experience with Honeywell systems
- Experience using EBI
- Pharmaceutical, commercial or mission-critical project experience
Contract Details
- Initial 6-month contract
- September / October start
- Standard Monday-Friday working pattern
