Our client is a fast-growing boutique finance consultancy based in London known for providing hands-on commercial and financial expertise to senior finance teams. Their work spans transactions (M&A, disposals, refinancing), operational improvement (modelling, forecasting, reporting), and commercial initiatives (costing, procurement, contract negotiation).

You will work across a range of interesting projects, solving real business problems and gaining experience with senior stakeholders early in your career. This role suits newly qualified accountants who are curious, commercially-minded, and interested in solving business problems:
- 1–3 years’ PQE, ideally straight from audit or with some industry/business partnering experience
- Strong Excel and analytical skills (modelling helpful but not essential)
- Commercial mindset and problem-solving orientation
- Strong communication skills and desire to work with clients
- Candidates from audit transitioning into industry or consulting will do well
Reporting to a Project Lead, you will work in small project teams on a wide range of consulting assignments:
- Project Delivery – Deliver outputs as part of 1–2 client-facing engagements, aligned with agreed project plans
- Problem Solving – Diagnose and resolve issues in client finance teams and operations
- Client Engagement – Communicate insights clearly to clients and support relationship development
- Training & Development – Receive structured guidance and coaching to build technical and commercial capabilities
- Internal Contribution – Support firm-wide initiatives and help build out consulting tools and frameworks
- Business Development – Contribute to lead generation, research, and proposal preparation
- Mentoring – Support and mentor junior team members as you progress
- Cross-Sector Exposure – Gain experience across sectors including private equity, corporates, and public bodies
