Role Overview
The Spa Supervisor is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the spa at Darwin Escapes, ensuring high standards of guest care and service delivery. The role includes supervising the spa team, assisting with daily operations, delivering treatments where required, and ensuring the spa runs efficiently in line with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Spa Operations
- Support the daily running of the spa, ensuring a smooth and professional guest experience.
- Ensure the spa environment is maintained to high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and facilities for opening and throughout the day.
- Assist in managing booking schedules to maximise therapist productivity and room usage.
- Report maintenance issues or equipment faults promptly.
- Ensure all treatments are delivered in line with professional standards and qualifications.
- Guest Experience
- Deliver high-quality spa and beauty treatments where required.
- Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service to all guests.
- Promote spa treatments, packages, and retail products to enhance guest experience.
- Handle guest enquiries, bookings, and feedback both in person and via telephone.
- Support the resolution of guest concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Team Support & Supervision
- Supervise and support spa therapists on shift, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Assist in training and mentoring team members.
- Monitor staff performance, attendance, and punctuality, reporting any concerns to management.
- Assist with staff rotas to meet operational needs.
- Promote a positive and professional team environment.
- Financial Responsibilities
- Assist with stock control, including regular stock checks.
- Support ordering of spa products and materials in line with company procedures.
- Contribute to achieving spa revenue targets through treatments and retail sales.
- Follow till procedures and ensure accurate processing of payments.
- Administration & Compliance
- Complete daily administrative tasks in line with company policies.
- Maintain strict client confidentiality at all times.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures within the spa.
- Follow all company standard operating procedures.
- Support management in ensuring team adherence to company policies and professional standards.
About The Role
Working Hours
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week across variable days, including weekends and bank holidays, in line with the operational needs of the business.
Working Environment / Physical Requirements
This role is based within a spa environment and will involve standing for extended periods while delivering treatments and supervising the spa team. The role may also involve lifting or moving spa products or equipment where required.
