This is a unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of sustainability strategy and scaled execution – owning workstreams, managing multiple concurrent projects, and driving delivery across a global platform. The Data & Analytics Lead will take a product and project management approach to advancing the firm’s sustainability agenda: identifying needs, scoping solutions, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring robust delivery across portfolio companies, firm-wide initiatives, and external communications.

Responsibilities

  • Specialise in and monitor emerging sustainability tools (e.g., carbon accounting, physical climate risk, AI, supply‑chain traceability) for the firm and its portfolio companies.
  • Advise portfolio companies on selecting and implementing appropriate sustainability tools.
  • Apply a product management mindset to sustainability challenges: define the problem, identify a solution, build and iterate – developing toolkits, resources, and best‑practice materials that enable repeatable portfolio adoption.
  • Support and/or act as a product manager for the Sustainability team, including understanding the needs of users and condensing them into specifications, overseeing implementation, and representing the product after release to ensure appropriate training and adoption.
  • Act as the team’s lead on AI and data sourcing and structuring – with experience beyond standard usership – owning the roadmap for developing & embedding AI tools into team and portfolio workflows, managing experimentation cycles, and scaling what works.
  • Drive project execution.

Firm‑Level Sustainability

  • Develop and maintain a systematic approach to portfolio‑wide sustainability data: identifying key insights and trends and translating these into materials that inform decision‑making.
  • Support the team in developing high‑quality materials for quarterly business reviews, internal updates, senior leadership meetings, and other forums requiring sustainability analysis and insights.
  • Serve as a coordination point between the sustainability function and the portfolio companies, sector and regional investment teams, ensuring alignment and consistency across the global platform.
  • Partner with colleagues across strategies to help evolve the sustainability approach in line with emerging themes, regulatory expectations, and the needs of the business.

Qualifications

  • Strong academic track record with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field. An engineering background is preferred.
  • Relevant experience in sustainability/ESG and climate technology or consulting, preferably with a project or product management mindset or background.
  • Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, and due diligence workflows, is advantageous.
  • Hands‑on technical fluency across AI and data stack technologies and experience with open‑source models, APIs, coding, with the ability to build, connect, and deploy solutions is considered beneficial.
  • Internal and external stakeholder management experience.
  • Highly entrepreneurial and commercial with a builder’s mindset – comfortable operating autonomously, holding colleagues accountable, navigating ambiguity, and scaling from the ground up.
  • Prior experience building products in a startup‑like environment is advantageous.
  • Highly motivated by the team’s mission and a Sustainability role, inquisitive, and positive can‑do attitude.
  • Highly analytical coupled with strong intuition; able to think and react quickly.
  • Strong operational and project management skills – time management, pattern recognition, prioritization and strong judgement are critical; ability to work well under pressure without compromising quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and proactively in a dynamic, high‑performing global organization.
  • Demonstrated maturity and professional presence, comfortable interacting with senior executives.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with experience of disseminating technical and complex data and information to meet the requirements of different stakeholders.
