Overview
Investment Professionals in the team work across all phases of the investment process, from origination and credit analysis through to execution and ongoing portfolio monitoring. You will work directly with management teams, private equity sponsors, and advisers, gaining meaningful exposure to investment decision-making from an early stage within a lean, experienced team.
Key responsibilities
- Originate and screen new credit investment opportunities, primarily across the Nordics, DACH, UK and Benelux
- Analyse new opportunities, including reviewing due diligence materials, assessing downside protection and debt capacity, and participating in management meetings
- Build and own financial models, including cash flow analysis, debt sizing, returns, and covenant headroom under base and downside scenarios
- Draft investment committee memoranda, presenting clear, balanced risk–reward assessments and well-supported recommendations
- Support the negotiation and documentation of commercial and legal terms, working closely with companies, investors, advisers, and legal counsel
- Monitor portfolio companies, including tracking monthly performance, KPIs, covenant compliance, forecasts, and valuations, alongside maintaining regular dialogue with management teams
- Contribute to ESG and Responsible Investment initiatives, depending on experience and interest
- Build and maintain strong relationships with management teams, entrepreneurs, sponsors, advisers, and intermediaries to support origination efforts
Profile
An analytical mindset, sound commercial judgement and the ability to build trusted relationships are of critical importance. We place particular value on intellectual curiosity, ownership, attention to detail and clear written communication.
Successful candidates will typically have:
- 2–6 years of relevant experience in Leveraged Finance, Specialty Finance, Private Credit, Private Equity, M&A Advisory, Management Consulting, DCM, or Transaction Advisory Services (with a focus on Restructuring, FDD or CDD), or similar.
- A relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- A strong business acumen, a strong grasp of financial statements, credit analysis and corporate finance concepts, and confidence working with numbers.
- Advanced financial modelling skills in MS Excel, together with strong editing skills in MS PowerPoint and MS Word, and an interest in actively applying AI tools.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Personal qualities including self-motivation, an entrepreneurial mindset, sound judgement, integrity, the ability to work efficiently in a high-pace environment, and a collaborative team-oriented approach
- Fluency in English and at least one Nordic language. E.g. Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish
