Dartmouth Partners are seeking a technically strong and commercially astute Head of Finance to lead the core finance function within a fast-paced, private equity-backed, mid-cap digital B2C client undergoing significant transformation. This role will take full ownership of FP&A, Business Partnering, oversight of Financial Reporting, Control, Tax, and Finance Operations, while acting as a key business partner to the executive team, board, and investors. Reporting to the CFO/CEO, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to broaden their remit over time, with clear progression to a Finance Director role as the business moves towards a PE exit.
This is a hands-on leadership position with a strong team of senior finance managers in place already. You will need problem-solving capability, and the credibility to operate across a complex, multi-entity and multi-currency international environment. A blend of FP&A/Commercial finance skills is needed and strong knowledge of digital B2C environments as you drive M&A initiatives and support Private Equity investors. The Group operates in over 100 countries globally and will require multi-currency experience. Strong exposure to M&A and commercial finance as part of growth journey, with financial control as an oversight.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure a robust financial control environment across the Group
- Act as the key contact for FP&A, MI Reporting and Business Partnering for Finance
- Oversee tax compliance and structuring across multiple jurisdictions
- Lead all aspects of financial reporting and controllership
- Manage multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation
- Partner closely with operational and commercial teams
- Support board, investor, and PE reporting requirements
- Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, including automation and AI-enabled tools
- Build, develop, and lead a global finance team (-25 people)
- Oversee month-end, year-end, and audit processes
- Qualified accountant in a top ten professional services firm
- Either B2C digital or Fintech experience (must-have)
- Experience in global, multi-entity, multi-currency environments
- Corporate Finance, M&A or Transaction Services background
- Significant post-qualified experience within PE-backed or fast-paced environments
