Our client, a Global, full-service investment bank, is actively hiring an Associate (Associate 1 or Associate 2 level depending on experience) to join their formidable Metals & Mining (mergers and acquisitions/ M&A) team in London.

The successful applicant will have covered the Metals & Mining sector within an Investment Bank or boutique working in Corporate Finance/M&A (preferred), Corporate Broking, or Equity Research.

Requirements for consideration

• 3 to 4 years experience working in investment banking (ideally in London).
• Strong Metals & Mining sector knowledge (Must have).
• Fundamental understanding of financial valuation methodologies, and applications.
• Excellent Financial modelling and analytical abilities.
• Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work streams effectively, delivering high quality work on schedule.
• Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• High resilience, willingness to learn and enthusiasm.
• The team has an exceptionally strong track record in the market and the work involved will be predominately deal execution focused.
