An ambitious Private Equity firm is looking to hire an experienced corporate controller to lead on group reporting activities.
Job Overview: The Financial Controller will be responsible for leading and managing the group’s financial reporting process, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide financial insights and support key decision-making processes. This role is ideal for someone with strong IFRS expertise and experience in managing group consolidation across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for group consolidation, ensuring compliance with IFRS.
- Oversee the financial consolidation process across multiple entities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Coordinate the preparation of group management reports, including variance analysis and commentary on financial performance.
- Prepare and review IFRS-compliant consolidated financial statements and related disclosures.
- Collaborate with tax, audit, and other external parties during the group’s audit process.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial reporting policies and procedures to improve accuracy, efficiency, and control.
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, including group-level financial projections and cash flow management.
- Review and analyze financial results from subsidiary companies and ensure they align with IFRS and group policies.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management for decision-making.
- Manage and mentor a team of junior accountants and finance staff.
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and local regulations across the group’s jurisdictions.
- Keep up to date with changes in IFRS, regulatory frameworks, and accounting standards.
Key Requirements:
- Strong IFRS knowledge with a proven track record of IFRS reporting and application.
- Significant experience with group consolidation and financial reporting in a multinational environment.
- Excellent technical accounting skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
- Advanced Excel skills with a focus on financial modeling and analysis.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
