Specialist Finance Recruiter for Private Markets | Career Growth in PE, VC, Real Assets and Alternatives
The successful candidate will oversee core financial operations, drive accurate investor reporting and support portfolio monitoring activities.
This position requires strong technical accounting expertise, a deep understanding of investment structures, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, cross‑border environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day‑to‑day financial operations across multiple entities, funds, and jurisdictions.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under IFRS/US GAAP/local GAAP (as applicable).
- Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, and treasury operations.
- Oversee financial audits and coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and fund administrators.
- Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with regulatory, tax, and governance requirements globally.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning for the management company and fund operations.
- Develop financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, and cost management.
- Prepare internal management reporting, including KPIs, cash flow forecasts, variance analysis, and trend insights for senior leadership.
- Partner with business units, including investment, operations, and HR, to support strategic decision‑making.
- Enhance FP&A tools, dashboards, and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Investor Reporting
- Build on and maintain regular, institutional grade investor reporting.
- Build out internal thinking on investment valuation, and execute conclusions.
- Assist with the implementation of the new portfolio monitoring tool for Direct and Indirect Investments.
- Support the deal team in regular monitoring the financial performance of the firms direct and indirect investments.
- Assess the desirability of follow‑on investment into the portfolio.
- Support Portco CFOs with advice on operating, tech, benchmarking etc.
Process Improvement & Systems
- Drive automation, system enhancements, and data integrity across financial reporting and portfolio systems.
- Identify process gaps and implement best practices across finance, operations, and reporting.
- Contribute to the development of scalable finance systems as the firm grows globally.
Qualifications & Experience
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
- 5–10+ years of experience in asset management, private equity, venture capital, real estate, or broader investment management.
- Experience with cross‑border entities and multi‑currency reporting.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
