Dartmouth Partners are excited to work with a leading Private Equity firm to find a Financial Accountant to join their team and contribute to the financial operations of the firm. This is initially a 6 month FTC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and general ledger accounts.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor daily cash flow and financial transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing relevant financial data and analysis.
- Conduct variance analysis and investigate discrepancies between actual results and forecasts.
- Liaise with external auditors during audits and provide required documentation and explanations.
- Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and cost control.
Immediately available (1-2 weeks notice period acceptable). ACA, ACCA, or equivalent accounting qualification is required. A minimum of 1 year experience in industry within financial services, ideally in Private Equity or a similar investment-focused environment. In-depth understanding of financial reporting, IFRS, US GAAP, and relevant regulatory requirements. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Proficiency with accounting software and financial systems.
