An Investment Director independently and proactively manages core parts of the origination, investment, and asset management processes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Independently develops investment ideas, and assesses key research, information, and analysis to form investment theses, conveying the investment opportunities to the sector teams and investment committee
• Structures and leads the due diligence process, including adviser selection, establishing comprehensive scopes of work, negotiating engagement contracts, and leading multiple workstreams of the execution process
• Works closely with senior management teams to develop strategic initiatives (e.g. long-term business plan, governance and operational improvements, organic and M&A growth, major debt financings, reporting, ESG, and exit planning) and closely contributes to the execution and monitoring of progress
• Conducts periodic fund reporting and valuation.
• Focuses on gathering relevant market intelligence and broader industry trends relevant to the organisation and existing investment portfolio.
• Develops and maintains a comprehensive industry network to support origination as well as ongoing asset management activities.

• Effective interpersonal, management and mentoring skills to manage relationships with external parties, team members and with junior members of the organisation
• Ability to contribute to increasingly senior responsibilities, including sector and fund investment strategy
• Ability to formulate, structure and present ideas to internal stakeholders in a clear and compelling way.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
