Director Corporate Development

A fast-growing, entrepreneurial private equity-backed group is seeking a Corporate Development Director to play a key role in shaping and executing its growth strategy within the IT Services sector. This is a unique opportunity to join an early‑stage, high‑growth buy‑and‑build platform in the UK lower mid‑market at a formative point in its journey.

The Role

As Corporate Development Director, you will be responsible for driving the group’s inorganic growth agenda – from strategy design and origination through to deal execution and post‑acquisition integration. Working closely with the CEO, CFO and PE investors, you’ll help refine the M&A roadmap, identify strategic acquisition targets, and ensure transactions deliver long‑term value creation across the platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the group’s M&A and corporate development strategy
• Manage the full deal lifecycle – from origination and valuation through negotiation, execution and integration
• Partner with leadership to shape investment theses and evaluate sector adjacencies
• Coordinate financial, legal and commercial due diligence processes with internal and external stakeholders
• Prepare board and investment materials, articulating clear strategic rationales and value drivers
• Build and nurture relationships with business owners, advisors and market participants to create a sustainable deal pipeline

Candidate Profile

• ACA‑qualified or equivalent, with experience in Investment Banking, Big 4 Corporate Finance or Corporate Development
• Demonstrable track record of end‑to‑end deal execution, ideally within IT Services or adjacent B2B services sectors
• Strong commercial and strategic mindset, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial and evolving environment
• Highly organised, credible and capable of operating both strategically and hands‑on
