Seasonal Information Adviser Based at Princetown Visitor Centre (PL20 6QF) Temporary contract: 1 April – 31 October 2025 Part-time (606.5 hours in total, equates to approx. 15 shifts per month) Do you love Dartmoor and enjoy sharing your passion for the outdoors with others? We're looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic individual to join our team for this season at the Dartmoor National Park Visitor Centre in Princetown. The Benefits – Salary of £12.45 per hour (plus weekend / bank holiday allowances) – Generous annual leave – Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme – Discounts at National Park Visitor Centres and Car Parks The Role We are recruiting for a Seasonal Information Adviser to support our award-winning Visitor Centres. As a key point of contact for visitors, you will help provide information, advice and inspiration about Dartmoor's landscapes, wildlife and heritage. Whether assisting with enquiries, promoting responsible enjoyment of the National Park, or supporting retail sales, your role will help ensure that visitors have a memorable experience. You will assist in the day to day, efficient and effective operation of the National Park Visitor Centres at Princetown, and on occasion, at Postbridge and Haytor. The work is varied and requires good knowledge of the Dartmoor area. You must be a confident communicator and able to deal with enquiries from the public in person, by telephone and email, in a friendly and outgoing manner. Duties for the season will be confirmed on a rota covering April – October 2025. Weekend and Bank Holiday working will be required.
