About the role: As a Service Receptionist, you will politely greet and assist our service customers and support the Service Team, who manage a wide range of duties with tight deadlines. You will triage customer requests in person, over the telephone and by email, record relevant information and route requests to the appropriate service colleague, distributing work evenly across the team and gaining an awareness of the Service Coordinator role. Using Sage CRM, you will raise accurate work instructions, produce high-quality estimates and raise customer invoices. You will keep customers informed in person, by phone and email in a professional manner. You will handle customer card payments, including taking deposits, and liaise with other teams such as the Quayside Lifting Team to ensure the process is handled effectively. You will also be responsible for the smooth handling of administrative tasks, including the Winter Lay-up process, which involves administering works requests for approximately 200 customers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers and colleagues with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Triage and record customer requests accurately.
  • Distribute service requests across the team.
  • Maintain accurate records and estimates in Sage CRM.
  • Process card payments and liaise with relevant teams.
  • Manage specific administrative tasks such as Winter Lay-up.

Requirements:

  • The ability to multitask and prioritise in a busy office environment.
  • Strong communication, time-management and IT skills.
  • Knowledge of the marine industry and/or technical terminology is beneficial but not essential.
