Overview
This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must already hold the right to work in the UK independently, with an immigration status that allows them to fulfil the full duration of the contract. The Trust is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities
- Generation of Pharmacy orders and supportive medication orders to maintain sufficient supply and accurate dispensing of prescribed items.
- Plan and prioritise invoicing workload within the Purchasing department; ensure that invoices are processed accurately and efficiently to meet Trust needs.
- Work closely with the lead assistant to ensure that the pharmacy assistants and apprentices\’ training needs are met and that the relevant competencies are completed.
- Ensure errors and near-miss situations are reported via the error reporting system and to the relevant manager.
- Assist in the supply of medication for patients both on wards and from outpatient clinics.
- Be available to work late nights, weekends and bank holidays; prioritise own workload and work accurately under pressure.
Requirements and Qualities
- Ability to work in a busy environment, prioritise work and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to seek and implement innovative solutions to problems and plan and prioritise work effectively to meet deadlines.
- The post will be based at the pharmacy department, Darent Valley Hospital.
