This is an exciting opportunity to support the Dartford Borough Council community. Working for Housing Services you will be our Handyperson undertaking maintenance and repair tasks within our tenant’s homes and also our common areas on our estates. This is a front line role and you will be supported by our Housing Maintenance team in providing excellent customer service.
The role includes:
- Undertaking maintenance and minor repairs
- Repairing equipment
- Completing internal and external painting
- Assembling tenants furniture
- Identifying and reporting the need for associated repair works
- Undertaking quality control inspections of contractors minor repairs
Relevant experience is essential. The successful applicant will have experience with hardware tools and equipment and knowledge of building and construction. You will also have basic Maths skills, great communication skills, be well organised and able to problem solve with an attention to detail. You will need to hold a full UK clean Driving License. You will also be provided with a works vehicle.
