Dartford Borough Council have over 4000 social homes throughout the local area. Complementing our existing service, this role has been created to provide a dedicated resource to manage fire safety within the organisation. We are seeking an experienced Housing Compliance Surveyor β Fire Safety to join our compliance team. This is a vital role ensuring that Dartford Borough Councilβs housing stock meets all fire safety regulations and standards, keeping our residents safe and our properties compliant. The position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative environment, develop your skills and contribute to achieving our service goals.
As a landlord, we currently have responsibility for buildings up to 11m in height, with no dwellings above this height. You will be responsible for carrying out fire safety inspections, type 1 and type 2 fire risk assessments to domestic blocks, and surveys, as well as supporting the delivery of remedial works and monitoring contractor performance.
