Dartford Borough Council have over 4000 social homes throughout the local area. With an established track record for maintaining quality homes, delivering new affordable housing and investing in local communities, this is an exciting opportunity to join the Council. This new role of Housing Asset Information Officer will be the lead for managing our Housing Asset Management Database (Housing One) and its stock condition data. You will ensure stock condition data is accurate and analyse the data to identify capital investment programmes that help meet regulatory standards. You will lead on providing information relating to annual government returns. You will respond to a wide range of enquiries related to stock condition and current or future investment programmes and help develop future Housing Asset Management Strategies. We are seeking a candidate with excellent report building and system knowledge, able to critically evaluate large data sets, whilst ensuring data integrity and safeguarding, by way of data audits and data security being fully managed. The position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative environment, develop your skills and contribute to achieving our service goals. Key responsibilities:
- Maintain and update housing asset databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness of property records.
- Collect, validate, and analyse data relating to housing stock, components, and compliance.
- Support the development of asset management strategies and investment programmes.
- Produce reports and dashboards for internal teams and senior management.
- Liaise with contractors, surveyors, and internal departments to ensure timely data updates.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and data protection requirements.
About You:
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Proficient in report building, data management systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and present data clearly.
- Knowledge of housing asset management and compliance regulations is desirable.
- Experience in a similar role within housing or property management is an advantage.
