Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to support the Dartford Borough Council community. Working for Housing Services, you will be our Handyperson undertaking maintenance and repair tasks within our tenant\βs homes and also our common areas on our estates. This is a front line role and you will be supported by our Housing Maintenance team in providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Undertake maintenance and minor repairs
- Complete external landscaping to grounds maintenance
- Repair equipment
- Complete internal and external painting
- Assembling tenants furniture
- Identify and report the need for associated repair works
- Undertake quality control inspections of contractors minor repairs
Qualifications
Relevant experience is essential. The successful applicant will have experience with hardware tools and equipment and knowledge of building and construction. You will also have basic math skills, great communication skills, be well organised and able to problem solve with an attention to detail. Full UK driving licence is essential. You will be provided with a works vehicle.
