Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer - Pharmacy

This post is based in the pharmacy department at Darent Valley Hospital and the successful candidate\'s duties will span both of our dispensaries and also the pharmacy stores.
Candidates should be enthusiastic, demonstrate innovation, be able to communicate ideas clearly and effectively and must possess competent IT skills.
Main duties of the job
The post is rotational working in both the main and chemotherapy dispensary and also the Pharmacy stores. You will assist in the supply of medicines to the public and to in-patients on wards using our automated robot and Omnicell cupboards, full training will be given. The role includes greeting staff and patients attending the dispensary reception. You will electronically log prescription details onto the pharmacy tracking system therefore assisting in ensuring the efficient workflow through the dispensary. You will be responsible for checking and supplying pharmacy stocks at ward level against agreed lists. You will also be involved in the delivery of medication to the wards. Other duties will include delivering the medications back to the wards.
Full training and support will be provided as you must commit to undertaking the Pharmacy Services Assistant level 2 Apprentice program.
Previous experience of working in a customer care setting is desirable and exposure to working in a healthcare setting would be an advantage.
