Experienced Working Site Foreman Required – South Devon

Due to continued growth and the award of several new contracts, we are looking for an experienced Working Site Foreman to join our expanding team based in South Devon. We are a quality-focused building company specialising in high-end residential extensions, bespoke new builds and technically challenging construction projects. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional workmanship and first-class customer service.

This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of site while also working on the tools when site management duties allow. We are looking for someone who leads by example, has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in delivering projects to the highest standard.

Essential Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Site Foreman.
  • Proven experience managing high-end extensions, bespoke new builds and technically demanding residential projects.
  • Strong carpentry background preferred.
  • Valid SMSTS qualification.
  • Valid First Aid at Work certificate.
  • Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety and quality control.
  • Ability to organise labour, subcontractors and site programmes efficiently.
  • Confident reading drawings and resolving technical construction issues.
  • Able to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Reliable, trustworthy and professional.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
The Role
  • Manage the day-to-day running of multiple residential construction projects.
  • Coordinate trades, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to the highest standard.
  • Carry out quality inspections and maintain site records.
  • Liaise with clients, architects and contract administrators.
  • Work on the tools alongside the team when site management responsibilities permit.
