  • Ensure delivery meets user needs, accessibility, legislation, and GDS/GOV.UK standards within a regulated environment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, which include delivery managers, designers, researchers, analysts, architects, and operational subject matter experts to deliver change and drive continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, acting as the bridge between service owners, business areas and delivery teams.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and decisions clearly through appropriate channels (e.g. workshops, demos, and engagement sessions).
  • Use data, analytics, and user research, and insight to inform decisions, measure performance and improve outcomes.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, balancing user, business, and technical needs, and supporting live service optimisation.

Person Specification:

We are looking for the following skills and experience which will be assessed throughout the recruitment process. The successful candidate will be someone who can demonstrate:

  • Growth mindset and continuously learning: Curious by nature with strong awareness of government digital standards, governance, and regulated environments.
  • Strategic thinking: Ability to see the big picture, making confident decisions and the ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Deep customer empathy: Advocate for the user, listening and understanding the users' needs, whilst delivering meaningful solutions.
  • Resilience and adaptability: understanding of the product lifecycle, product vision, roadmaps and backlog management to support iterative delivery.
  • Data and outcome focused: Strong attention to detail; outcome focused, with the ability to balance user needs, business and technical priorities, using data and feedback to drive impact and learn.

Technical Experience:

  • Familiarity with delivery and collaboration tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft 365).
  • Awareness of Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum, and how these support iterative delivery.
  • Awareness of GDS standards, GOV.UK service principles, user-centred design, and accessibility standards.
  • Experience of working with developers, architects, and technical leads to understand constraints, dependencies, and opportunities.
  • Knowledge of using data, analytics, and user insight to monitor performance and inform decisions.
  • Awareness of tools and frameworks to support prioritisation and risk-based decision making.

Benefits:

  • Flexible working from day one – hybrid working, flexible hours and flexitime.
  • A generous, competitive package – including 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
