About Corassure

Corassure is a specialist consultancy working at the heart of UK Defence certification. Since 2017 we have supported the MoD, DE&S and major defence primes on cyber security airworthiness, programmable elements (software and complex hardware) certification and secure-by-design across air, land and maritime systems, including uncrewed aircraft programmes. Our sister company, Coracademy, delivers BCS-accredited training in cyber security airworthiness and certification standards. We are based in Cardiff and are proud to be growing a specialist defence engineering capability in Wales. As a small, highly experienced team, we can offer you the chance to learn directly from the people who have written and shaped the regulations and standards our industry works to.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Graduate Assurance Consultant to join us from January 2027. You will work alongside our Managing Director and Senior Consultant, supporting live client projects day to day. This is a rare chance to start your career in defence cyber security and airworthiness, a specialist and highly valued field, while staying based in Wales.

What You Will Do

  • Help produce certification and assurance documentation, including plans, compliance matrices, assessments, and safety and security cases
  • Review client evidence against standards such as DO-178C, DO-254, DO-326A/DO-356A and Defence Standards
  • Build and maintain compliance traceability and supporting tooling
  • Research regulatory requirements and summarise findings for the team
  • Support the preparation of training material and bids
  • Attend client meetings and technical reviews, with some UK travel

What We Offer

  • Location: Hybrid, split between home and our Cardiff office, with occasional UK client travel
  • Contract: Full-time 6-month graduate placement through Tech Talent Cymru, with the potential to become a permanent role
  • Start date: January 2027
  • Salary: £32,000 per annum, pro rata
  • Structured development and mentoring from leading practitioners in defence cyber security airworthiness
  • Access to Coracademy’s BCS-accredited training
  • Support towards professional registration (e.g. BCS, IEng/CEng pathway)

This role is offered through Tech Talent Cymru, a graduate placement programme funded by Innovate UK and delivered by Darogan. It connects talented graduates with employers across Wales that need digital and technical skills to grow.

On top of everything your host company offers, as a Tech Talent Cymru graduate you will receive:

  • Dedicated training before your placement begins, so you start ready to make an impact
  • Ongoing mentoring throughout your placement, from people outside your day-to-day team
  • Unless you choose to opt out, applying for this role also means you'll be considered for future opportunities on the Tech Talent Cymru programme, so one application could open more than one door.

Requirements

Essential

  • A degree (2:1 or above) in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software or Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related subject
  • Strong written English and an eye for detail, since much of the work is precise technical writing
  • An analytical mindset and comfort working with complex standards and requirements
  • Curiosity about aviation, defence or safety-critical systems
  • Organised, reliable and keen to learn
  • Eligible for and willing to undergo UK Security Check (SC) clearance. This typically requires sole British nationality and a minimum period of UK residency

Desirable

  • Exposure to safety-critical software, cyber security risk assessment or systems engineering
  • Placement or project experience in aerospace or defence
  • Welsh language skills
