As a Graduate Building Surveyor / Fire Risk Consultant Trainee, you will receive structured training and mentoring to develop the technical knowledge, practical skills, and professional competence required to become a qualified Fire Risk Consultant.
About the Role
You will support the delivery of fire risk assessments, building inspections, fire safety audits, and consultancy services, helping clients meet their legal and regulatory obligations while improving the safety of their buildings and occupants.
This role offers a unique pathway for a building surveying graduate to apply their construction and property knowledge within a growing and highly specialised fire safety sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in undertaking fire risk assessments across a variety of property types.
- Support senior consultants during site inspections and surveys.
- Identify building defects and fire safety risks that may affect life safety and property protection.
- Prepare clear and accurate fire risk assessment reports and technical documentation.
- Assist with compartmentation surveys, passive fire protection inspections, and means of escape assessments.
- Review building plans, specifications, and fire strategy documents.
- Help clients understand and implement fire safety recommendations.
- Attend client meetings and site visits throughout the UK.
- Maintain accurate records and project documentation.

- Degree in Building Surveying or a related built-environment discipline.
