A 190-day position with a base salary of $20,932 (based on education and teacher assistant experience) at J. L. Cain Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Qualifications:
- Minimum of sixty (60) academic credit hours from an accredited institution of higher education or an associate degree (or higher) OR High School Diploma or the equivalent AND Ready to Work Credentials.
- WIN - Copy of WIN Assessment minimum of Silver: Level 4 or higher.
- Work Keys - Copy of passing scores on three areas of Work Keys Assessment: Applied Mathematics (4), Reading for Information (4), Writing (4).
- ParaPro - Copy of passing score (minimum 456) on ParaPro.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Responsible To: Principal
Primary Duties And Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom teaching assistance.
- Provide supervision of students at all times.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment.
- Provide students with daily care (e.g. toileting, diapering, feeding, etc.) as needed or required.
- Adhere to district dress code policies.
- Maintain required confidentiality in regard to students and school records.
- Positively support all facets of student growth and development.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty pounds.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
