Teacher Assistant (Media Center)
190‑day position. Salary Range: $20,932 (based on education and teacher assistant experience). Location: Darlington High School. Availability: 2026–2027 School Year. FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt. A negative TB test result must be on file prior to starting work.
Qualifications
- Minimum of sixty (60) academic credit hours from an accredited institution of higher education or an associate degree (or higher).
- High school diploma requires a Ready to Work credential: WIN assessment minimum of Level 3 certification or ParaPro passing score (minimum 456).
Responsibilities
- Provide classroom teaching assistance.
- Supervise students at all times.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment.
- Provide daily care to students as needed (toileting, diapering, feeding, etc.).
- Adhere to district dress code policies.
- Maintain required confidentiality regarding students and school records.
- Positively support all facets of student growth and development.
- Be able to lift a minimum of fifty pounds.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
